About the Role

Play a key role in leading the design and delivery of roadway infrastructure projects. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage highway infrastructure projects from initiation through completion.
  • Develop and review designs related to roadway geometry, pavement, drainage, and traffic systems.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, prepare cost estimates, and perform risk assessments.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineering staff.
  • Review and approve engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as recognized industry standards (e.g., AASHTO, FHWA).
  • Coordinate with clients, agencies, contractors, and other stakeholders to meet project objectives.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and ensure quality assurance.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports, documentation, and presentations throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and apply innovative approaches to improve project outcomes.

Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • 7-15 years of experience in highway engineering, including project management.
  • Active Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Proficiency in highway design software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, InRoads).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams.
  • Experience with sustainable and environmentally conscious infrastructure design.
  • Familiarity with public procurement procedures and contract administration.
