HVAC/Duct VDC

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage detailed 3D HVAC models using Revit, AutoCAD MEP, Navisworks, and other BIM tools.
• Coordinate mechanical systems with architectural, structural, and other MEP disciplines to resolve clashes and optimize system layouts.
• Generate construction documents, shop drawings, and fabrication-ready models.
• Participate in BIM coordination meetings and lead clash detection efforts.
• Interpret design intent and translate engineering drawings into accurate VDC models.
• Support field teams with model-based coordination and provide updates as needed.
• Maintain model integrity, version control, and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
• Assist in developing and implementing VDC standards, workflows, and best practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in HVAC design and VDC/BIM coordination.
• Proficiency in Revit MEP, AutoCAD MEP, Navisworks Manage, and BIM 360.
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems, codes, and construction practices.
• Experience with clash detection, model federation, and coordination workflows.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in design-build or integrated project delivery (IPD) environments.
• Familiarity with fabrication-level modeling and spooling.
• Knowledge of scripting tools (Dynamo, Python) for BIM automation.
• LEED accreditation or other relevant certifications.
