Industrial Electrical Foreman
The Electrical Foreman will oversee and coordinate electrical installation, maintenance, and repair activities in an industrial environment (manufacturing, water/wastewater, energy, or heavy process facilities). This role ensures projects are completed safely, on time, and in compliance with codes, standards, and client specifications.
Supervise and lead a team of electricians and technicians in industrial electrical projects.
Plan, assign, and monitor daily work activities including installation of MCCs, switchgear, VFDs, PLC panels, and industrial lighting systems.
Ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA, OSHA, and local electrical codes.
Interpret and review electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, P&IDs, and wiring schematics.
Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other trades to meet project milestones.
Oversee commissioning and troubleshooting of industrial control systems, SCADA, and automation equipment.
Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and workforce hours.
Train and mentor junior electricians on safety practices, technical skills, and quality standards.
Enforce safety protocols and conduct regular toolbox talks to ensure a safe work environment.
High school diploma or technical certification required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering/Technology preferred.
Journeyman or Master Electrician license strongly preferred.
Minimum 5-7 years of industrial electrical experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory/foreman role.
Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, power distribution, and motor control centers (MCCs).
Experience with PLC/SCADA systems, instrumentation, and automation in industrial settings.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
