Inspection Bridge Team Leader
Our client, a national engineering firm, is seeking an Inspection Bridge Team Leader to oversee bridge inspection projects across Michigan. This is a great opportunity for a certified inspector with 5+ years of experience who is ready to lead field teams, ensure compliance with safety and structural standards, and contribute to vital infrastructure improvements.
The Inspection Bridge Team Leader will be responsible for:
- Leading bridge inspection teams in the field
- Planning and coordinating inspection schedules and logistics
- Performing hands-on inspections and structural evaluations
- Preparing detailed inspection reports and documentation
- Ensuring compliance with FHWA, MDOT, and AASHTO standards
- Managing safety protocols and crew coordination
- Communicating with clients, contractors, and internal teams
- Supporting training and development of junior inspectors
The ideal candidate will have:
- At least 5 years of bridge inspection experience
- NBIS certification and familiarity with MDOT procedures
- Experience with inspection tools and reporting software
- Strong understanding of structural components and deterioration mechanisms
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work outdoors in varying conditions and travel as needed
- Valid driver's license and ability to pass safety certifications
