This team delivers cutting-edge Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), traffic operations, connected mobility, and transportation technology projects. Engineers will gain exposure to a wide variety of projects and be mentored by some of the industry's top ITS professionals.
Support the planning, design, and delivery of ITS and transportation technology projects across Florida. This is a highly client-facing role requiring regular interaction with public sector clients, agencies, utility providers, and multidisciplinary engineering teams. Responsibilities include engineering design, plan production, technical documentation, project coordination, and supporting successful project delivery.
For PE candidates, demonstrated ITS design experience is required, including exposure to systems such as fiber optic communications, CCTV, Dynamic Message Signs (DMS), vehicle detection, traffic management systems, connected vehicle infrastructure, or related transportation technologies. Experience serving in design leadership, EOR, or technical oversight capacities is highly valued.

ITS Engineer, Transportation Engineer, Traffic Engineer, Civil Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Communications Engineer, Roadway Engineer, Traffic Operations Engineer, Transportation Technology Engineer, or infrastructure-focused consulting engineers. Candidates may come from consulting firms, DOT environments, transportation agencies, utilities, or communications infrastructure projects.
Strong client-facing communication skills are essential. Ability to build relationships with agencies and stakeholders, collaborate across disciplines, mentor junior staff (PE level), manage priorities, and thrive in a highly visible consulting environment.
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Electrical Engineering. Open to EI and PE candidates. EI candidates do not need direct ITS experience. PE candidates must have proven ITS engineering design experience and hold (or be able to obtain through comity) a Florida PE license. FDOT experience is highly preferred but not required.
