Job Summary
We are seeking a junior level Estimator to join our team. In this role, you will assist the company in making profitable business decisions by gathering information and preparing accurate estimates. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and has a proven track record as an HVAC/Mechanical Estimator. Compensation based on experience, range $40-65,000.00
Responsibilities
Fully understand the project scope and requirements by studying documentation, meeting with clients, and visiting relevant jobsite locations
Collect necessary documentation such as plans, drawings, and project specifications
Determine the key variables for cost and conduct research to determine expected labor and materials costs
Gather bids and negotiate with service providers to secure the best possible prices
Create and submit estimates to manager
Budget and forecast using appropriate software
Generate take offs for sheetmetal, piping, insulation and controls
Generate RFIs and proposals
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field
Previous experience as an Estimator is preferred for min 2 years
Ability to forecast building costs and knowledge of estimation formulas
Strong mathematical and analytical skills
Skilled in relevant software (Quotesoft, planswift, building connected, procore, bluebeam)
Excellent research, writing, and negotiation skills
Ability to work and thrive in fast paste environment
