We are seeking a strategic and experienced professional to lead regulatory and public affairs activities for offshore wind projects in Korea. This is a unique opportunity to help shape the future of renewable energy by driving engagement with government bodies, industry associations, and key stakeholders to support the development and success of offshore wind initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead regulatory strategy and stakeholder engagement for offshore wind projects across Korea.
Represent the company in dialogue with government agencies, industry groups, and political stakeholders, advocating for renewable energy and offshore wind policy.
Monitor and analyze political, regulatory, and societal developments that may affect offshore wind projects and the company's interests.
Develop and implement action plans to respond to regulatory changes and policy developments.
Serve as a trusted advisor to internal teams, providing insights and recommendations on the local political and regulatory landscape.
Support the permitting process by maintaining strong relationships with relevant authorities and ensuring timely and effective stakeholder communication.
Collaborate cross-functionally with project development, legal, and technical teams to align on regulatory strategies and ensure successful project delivery.
Qualifications:
Strong background in government affairs, regulatory policy, public administration, or related fields.
Experience working with government bodies, industry associations, or in a similar stakeholder-facing role, ideally within the energy, infrastructure, or environmental sectors.
Proven ability to analyze complex political and regulatory landscapes and translate them into actionable strategies.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build trust and influence stakeholders at all levels.
Fluency in Korean and English is essential.
Preferred Experience:
A minimum of 15-20 years of relevant professional experience.
Prior exposure to the renewable energy sector, particularly offshore wind, is highly desirable.
Familiarity with Taiwan's energy policies, permitting processes, and regulatory framework.
