Land Surveyor
Our client, a nationally recognized civil engineering and infrastructure firm, is seeking a skilled Land Surveyor to support their growing operations in Arizona. This individual will play a key role in delivering high-quality surveying services for a diverse range of public and private sector projects, including transportation, utilities, and land development.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, and construction surveys.
Use GPS, total stations, 3D laser scanning, and drone technology to collect precise field data.
Analyze survey data and perform calculations for boundary determination and construction layout.
Prepare and review plats, legal descriptions, and survey maps in accordance with Arizona regulations.
Coordinate with engineering and planning teams to support project development.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal survey standards.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff and field crews as needed.
Minimum Requirements:
Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license in Arizona, or ability to obtain within 6 months.
4+ years of professional land surveying experience, including field and office work.
Proficiency with Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center, Leica, or similar software.
Strong understanding of Arizona land laws and surveying standards.
Effective communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites across Arizona.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in a large engineering or consulting firm setting.
Knowledge of LiDAR, UAV photogrammetry, and/or hydrographic surveying.
Prior experience managing field crews or acting as a crew chief.
