Overview
A leading manufacturing systems and process controls integrator is seeking PLC Automation Engineers to join a progressive and expanding organization with nationally recognized expertise in continuous fluid process automation for dairy, beverage, and food manufacturers. This is a unique opportunity to work on the entire life cycle of automation projects for small, medium, and Fortune 100 manufacturing clients.
Responsibilities
- Create process description documents based on customer requirements.
- Use process descriptions, P&IDs, and electrical drawings to design automation system solutions.
- Develop PLC ladder logic applications for Allen Bradley/Rockwell Software PLC systems.
- Configure standalone and networked intelligent field devices (e.g., VFDs, flow meters, pressure transmitters).
- Perform integration tests to ensure proper communication and HMI screen response to PLC events.
- Travel to customer sites for system commissioning, installation, and training.
- Provide technical support and system upgrades.
Qualifications
- Two- or four-year degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, IT, or Math with programming coursework.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a related field.
- Proficiency in developing ladder logic programs using Rockwell Software.
- Working knowledge of PC hardware and industrial automation networking.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office for documentation and productivity.

- Ability to work in a project-oriented team environment (2-10 engineers).
- Ability to work independently after assignment.
- Desire to learn and use multiple programming languages.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Creativity, enthusiasm, and a "can-do" attitude.

Travel
- Minimum of 4-6 weeks per year for commissioning and support (varies by project).
