A leading energy infrastructure developer and operator is seeking a Regulatory Affairs Manager to support its growing presence in the ERCOT market. This individual will play a key role in navigating regulatory and market developments, representing the organization in stakeholder processes, and helping shape strategies that support commercial and operational objectives across Texas.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who understands ERCOT market dynamics, enjoys engaging with industry stakeholders, and wants to influence policy and regulatory outcomes within a fast-growing energy platform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Represent the organization in ERCOT stakeholder meetings, regulatory proceedings, and industry forums.
  • Monitor and assess regulatory, legislative, and market developments impacting the ERCOT region.
  • Develop and support regulatory strategies aligned with business objectives and market opportunities.
  • Coordinate with external consultants, advisors, and legal counsel on regulatory initiatives and proceedings.
  • Build and maintain relationships with regulators, policymakers, transmission providers, market participants, and industry organizations.
  • Provide guidance to internal teams regarding market design changes, regulatory developments, and emerging policy initiatives.
  • Participate in industry working groups, trade associations, and stakeholder committees.
  • Prepare presentations, briefing materials, analyses, and recommendations for internal leadership.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on ERCOT market and regulatory matters.
  • Support strategic projects across development, commercial, operations, and leadership teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience within the ERCOT market, including regulatory affairs, public policy, stakeholder engagement, market analysis, or wholesale power markets.
  • Strong knowledge of ERCOT market rules, stakeholder processes, and Texas energy regulation.
  • Understanding of competitive wholesale electricity markets and market design principles.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively across internal business units and external stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive and collaborative approach.
  • Willingness to travel periodically throughout Texas as needed.
