About the Role

This is a rare and strategic leadership opportunity for a seasoned professional to join a globally respected consulting firm as Managing Director - Digital Forensics & eDiscovery. The role sits at the intersection of technology, legal strategy, and investigative excellence, offering the chance to shape the future of digital risk advisory services on a global scale.

As Managing Director, you will be responsible for leading and expanding a high-performing practice that supports clients through some of their most critical and sensitive challenges-ranging from regulatory investigations and cross-border litigation to cyber incidents and internal misconduct. You will serve as a trusted advisor to general counsel, law firms, and boards of directors, helping them navigate the complexities of digital evidence, data governance, and legal technology.

This role requires a unique blend of technical expertise, commercial acumen, and leadership capability. You will oversee multidisciplinary teams across regions, drive innovation in forensic methodologies and eDiscovery workflows, and play a key role in business development and client relationship management. You will also contribute to the firm's broader strategic goals by collaborating with leaders across cybersecurity, compliance, disputes, and data analytics.

The ideal candidate is a visionary leader with a deep understanding of the digital forensics and eDiscovery landscape, a strong network within the legal and regulatory community, and a passion for building high-impact teams and solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and expand the Digital Forensics & eDiscovery practice globally, with a focus on innovation, client service, and operational excellence.
  • Oversee complex, high-stakes investigations involving data breaches, IP theft, regulatory inquiries, and cross-border litigation.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with legal counsel, corporate clients, and regulatory bodies.
  • Provide expert testimony and thought leadership in digital forensics, structured and unstructured data analysis, and eDiscovery workflows.
  • Mentor and grow a multidisciplinary team of forensic analysts, data scientists, and legal technologists.
  • Collaborate with other practice leaders to deliver integrated solutions across cybersecurity, compliance, and disputes.

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of experience in digital forensics, eDiscovery, or related fields, with a proven track record in leadership roles.
  • Deep technical expertise in forensic imaging, data recovery, cloud forensics, and eDiscovery platforms (e.g., Relativity, Nuix, EnCase).
  • Strong understanding of global data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and cross-border data transfer issues.
  • Exceptional communication skills, including experience providing expert witness testimony.
  • A strategic mindset with the ability to drive business development and client engagement at the executive level.
  • Advanced degree in Computer Science, Law, Cybersecurity, or a related field preferred.
