Managing Director - Valuation/Litigation

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Valuation Managing Director, with a particular emphasis on litigation-related valuation services. In this role, you will oversee complex litigation valuation projects, drive strategic initiatives, manage expert witness engagements, and generate revenue through expanding the firm's litigation support offerings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the litigation valuation practice in Texas, overseeing operations, expert engagements, and team performance.
  • Conduct and supervise complex valuations for litigation purposes, including commercial disputes, shareholder disputes, intellectual property, bankruptcy, and forensic investigations.
  • Provide expert witness testimony and litigation consulting in state and federal courts, as well as arbitration forums.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to grow the litigation support division and enhance service offerings.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with law firms, corporate counsel, and regulatory bodies.
  • Generate revenue through client engagements and actively seek opportunities to expand the firm's litigation valuation services.
  • Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of technical excellence and professional growth.
  • Stay abreast of legal precedents, valuation standards, and industry trends relevant to litigation support.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; advanced degree or professional certifications (e.g., ASA, CFA, CPA/ABV) preferred.
  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in valuation or financial advisory, with at least 5 years in a leadership role and a strong focus on litigation support.
  • Proven expertise in preparing expert reports and providing testimony in complex litigation matters.
  • Strong understanding of legal processes, evidentiary standards, and valuation methodologies used in disputes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex findings clearly and persuasively.
  • Demonstrated ability to generate at least $1.5 million in annual revenue and expand service offerings.
