A well-established masonry restoration contractor in the Chicago market is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join its growing team. This organization has built a strong reputation for delivering complex masonry restoration, façade rehabilitation, tuckpointing, waterproofing, and historic restoration projects throughout the Midwest.
This role offers the opportunity to manage high-profile restoration projects from pre-construction through closeout while working alongside some of the region's most respected masonry professionals.
Responsibilities
- Manage multiple masonry restoration and façade rehabilitation projects simultaneously.
- Oversee project budgets, schedules, procurement, and subcontractor coordination.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, consultants, and field personnel.
- Review drawings, specifications, contracts, and project documentation.
- Lead project planning meetings and maintain project schedules.
- Coordinate labor, equipment, materials, and subcontractors to ensure successful project execution.
- Track project costs and prepare change orders, RFIs, submittals, and progress billing.
- Perform site visits to monitor project progress, quality, and safety compliance.
- Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Preferred Background
- 5+ years of Project Management experience within masonry restoration, façade restoration, concrete restoration, waterproofing, or building envelope construction.
- Experience managing projects involving:
- Tuckpointing
- Brick and stone restoration
- Façade rehabilitation
- Historic restoration
- Waterproofing
- Structural masonry repairs
- Concrete restoration
- Strong understanding of project financials, scheduling, and cost control.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
- Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred.
