Mechanical Design PM
My client is seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager (PE) to help support the growth of an established MEP consulting practice in the Houston market. This role is ideal for a self-starter who can independently lead projects, build strong client relationships, and contribute to expanding the firm's presence throughout Texas.
Responsibilities
- Lead mechanical engineering projects from design through construction administration.
- Manage HVAC, plumbing, and other mechanical building systems design.
- Coordinate with clients, architects, contractors, and internal project teams.
- Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and staffing plans.
- Perform quality control reviews and ensure compliance with codes and industry standards.
- Serve as a primary client contact and maintain strong client relationships.
- Mentor and support junior engineers and designers.
- Assist with business development efforts and help grow the firm's presence in the Houston market.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- 7+ years of experience within the MEP consulting industry.
- Proven project management experience overseeing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong HVAC and plumbing design expertise.
- Proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and client-facing skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and drive projects to completion.
- Business development experience is a plus.
Ideal Candidate
A licensed Mechanical PE with strong project management experience, technical expertise in building systems design, and the ability to help grow client relationships and project opportunities throughout the Houston market.
