A growing engineering firm specializing in MEP design is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join their team in a fully remote capacity. This role focuses on HVAC and mechanical systems design for commercial, institutional, and mixed-use buildings. Ideal for professionals who value flexibility, technical excellence, and collaborative project work
Key Responsibilities:
- Design HVAC systems for new construction and renovation projects.
- Perform load calculations, equipment selection, and layout design.
- Collaborate with architects, electrical engineers, and contractors to integrate mechanical systems into building designs.
- Prepare construction documents, specifications, and reports.
- Conduct site assessments virtually or as needed to support project delivery.
- Stay current with industry codes, standards, and sustainable design practices.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Experience in HVAC system design for commercial or institutional buildings.
- Familiarity with ASHRAE standards and local building codes.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design software.
- Strong communication and time management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional Engineer (PE) or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification.
- Experience with energy modeling and LEED documentation.
- Knowledge of building automation systems and controls.
- Project management experience.
