MES Engineer
A leading industrial technology and automation organization is seeking an experienced MES Engineer to work directly with customers and deliver solutions within the Manufacturing Level 3 space-the critical boundary between plant‑floor automation and IT systems. This role requires strong technical execution, excellent communication skills, and the ability to operate in fast‑paced, real‑time process environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute MES projects including installation, configuration, and deployment of MES platforms (e.g., Syncade or similar systems).
- Develop reports, system interfaces, and integrations with Automation, DCS, SCADA, and ERP systems.
- Configure servers, databases, and data connections to various third‑party systems.
- Troubleshoot system, network, and application issues quickly and effectively.
- Implement custom configuration and software components to meet project requirements.
- Perform on‑site customer visits for installation, commissioning, startup, and end‑user training.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure solutions are delivered on time and within scope.
Required Skills
- Proven project delivery experience involving data systems and MES technologies.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows, server setup, and network configuration.
- Hands‑on experience with MES systems (Syncade or other major MES platforms).
- Familiarity with SQL, VBScript, XML, XSL, and similar technologies.
- Excellent communication and customer‑facing skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative engineering environment.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Self‑driven, with consistent follow‑through and a commitment to continuous learning.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Computer Science (or equivalent technical degree).
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
- Ability to travel for on‑site commissioning and training activities.
