Mid-level Municipal Project Engineer
Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated engineering professional to join a dynamic consultancy team working across a diverse portfolio of building and infrastructure projects. This role involves leading technical design efforts, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and delivering high-quality engineering solutions from concept through to construction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design process on multiple concurrent projects, ensuring technical accuracy and compliance with relevant standards.
- Produce and review detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation using industry-standard software tools.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to integrate design inputs across disciplines.
- Support proposal development, including technical scopes, budgeting, and feasibility assessments.
- Conduct engineering calculations and simulations using both manual methods and digital tools.
- Identify project risks and communicate them proactively to project leadership.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to their technical development.
- Ensure timely delivery of project milestones while maintaining quality and efficiency.
- Participate in internal design reviews and quality assurance processes.
- Engage in client-facing activities and help maintain strong professional relationships.
Skills & Attributes:
- Strong technical background in building services or infrastructure engineering.
- Proficient in CAD/BIM platforms and engineering analysis software.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Familiarity with local codes, regulations, and permitting processes.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant professional experience.
- Chartered or licensed engineer status (or working toward it) is preferred.

This is a hybrid office-based role with flexibility for occasional remote work.
