Mid to Senior-Level Electrical Engineer (MEP)
A well-established engineering consulting firm is seeking a Mid to Senior-Level Electrical Engineer to join its growing team in Orlando, Florida. This position offers the opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of building and infrastructure projects alongside a multidisciplinary team of professionals.
The successful candidate will support the design and delivery of electrical systems for a variety of healthcare, commercial, institutional, industrial, and public-sector facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Design electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, and fire alarm systems.
- Prepare construction documents, technical specifications, and engineering reports.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other project stakeholders throughout project delivery.
- Interface directly with clients and participate in project meetings.
- Conduct site investigations, system evaluations, and engineering analyses.
- Assist with permit applications and regulatory submissions.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining schedules and budgets.
- Support projects from initial concept through construction and closeout.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Approximately 5+ years of relevant electrical design experience within the consulting engineering industry.
- Experience performing power system studies, including coordination and arc flash analyses.
- Proficiency with industry-standard design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and power system analysis tools.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license, or ability to obtain licensure through reciprocity.
- Strong communication and client-facing skills.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally as needed.
Preferred Experience
- Experience designing electrical systems for building projects across multiple market sectors.
- Familiarity with power distribution, lighting, and life-safety systems.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative project team environment.
