Mission Critical Structural Engineer
A confidential client is seeking a seasoned Senior Structural Engineer to lead complex, high-impact projects in the mission critical/data center space. This is a unique opportunity to join a team that's shaping the future of infrastructure for some of the most demanding environments in the world.
You'll be responsible for structural design and coordination on large-scale data centers and other mission critical facilities. Projects are fast-paced, technically challenging, and require a deep understanding of performance, resilience, and constructability. You'll work closely with architects, MEP engineers, and construction teams to deliver innovative solutions that meet strict operational and uptime requirements.
What You'll Do:
- Lead structural design from concept through construction for data centers and similar facilities
- Perform analysis and modeling using tools like ETABS, RAM, RISA, and Revit
- Coordinate with internal and external teams to ensure seamless integration of structural systems
- Review shop drawings, respond to RFIs, and support field teams during construction
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical standards and best practices
What You Bring:
- 10+ years of structural engineering experience, with at least 3 years focused on mission critical/data center projects
- PE or SE license required
- Strong command of concrete and steel design, seismic considerations, and high-load environments
- Experience with fast-track schedules and design-build delivery is a plus
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
Location Flexibility: Remote work is available, but candidates must be located near one of our client's offices for occasional in-person collaboration. Offices are located in major metros across the U.S.
