Position Summary:

The Municipal Project Manager will lead the planning, design, and execution of infrastructure projects for public sector clients. This includes managing roadway and utility design, stormwater systems, site development, and public works improvements. The ideal candidate is a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) with proven experience managing municipal projects and a passion for delivering high-quality, community-focused outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead municipal infrastructure projects from concept through construction.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, agencies, and stakeholders.
  • Oversee project scope, schedule, budget, and team coordination.
  • Prepare and review engineering plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Mentor junior staff and foster a collaborative project environment.
  • Participate in public meetings, client presentations, and regulatory reviews.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Michigan or ability to obtain.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in municipal or transportation engineering, with at least 2 years in a project management role.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, or similar design software.
