Offshore Representative

The Offshore Representative plays a key role in managing offshore operations, including Balance of Plant (BoP) service and maintenance, and on-site project execution. This position oversees contractors and third-party service providers, ensuring alignment with Contract and Technical Managers. The role operates on a 14-days-on / 14-days-off rotation offshore.

Key Responsibilities

Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)

  • Promote and maintain a strong HSE culture across all offshore activities.
  • Ensure compliance with site HSE plans, relevant legislation, and industry best practices.
  • Lead and participate in toolbox talks, site briefings, and performance reviews.

Operations & Maintenance

  • Execute the annual offshore O&M program and supervise daily operations.
  • Consolidate maintenance schedules to optimize efficiency and cost savings.
  • Ensure timely corrective and preventive maintenance, defect remediation, and technical issue resolution.

Site & Process Management

  • Develop and maintain site management manuals and operational procedures (e.g., OCC, jack-up operations, daily reporting).
  • Conduct site inductions for new personnel and visitors.
  • Prepare risk assessments in coordination with the HSE Manager.

Performance Monitoring & Reporting

  • Support the O&M Manager in minimizing yield loss and improving asset performance.
  • Provide regular technical and performance updates to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Track and report operational KPIs and contractor compliance.

Contractor & Stakeholder Coordination

  • Manage day-to-day contractor activities and ensure contractual obligations are met.
  • Conduct offshore inspections and audits of contractors, with support from the HSE Manager.
  • Build strong working relationships with clients, contractors, and service providers.

Continuous Improvement & Risk Management

  • Identify operational risks and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Drive continuous improvement using PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) methodology.
  • Review and challenge technical proposals from service providers and recommend actions.

Qualifications & Skills

Essential

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in offshore wind projects.
  • Strong technical background in engineering or operations.
  • Familiarity with offshore wind industry standards and best practices.
  • Willingness and ability to work on a 14/14 offshore rotation.
  • GWO certification for offshore work.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and SharePoint.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and process-driven.
  • Experience in HSE-critical environments and operational start-up phases.

Desirable

  • Experience in offshore EPC projects or windfarm operational start-up.
  • HV Competent Person (SAP) certification.
  • Strong understanding of full asset components (WTG, cables, OSS, foundations).
  • Familiarity with SAP and other operational software tools.
