A well-established, highly respected mechanical subcontractor is looking to bring on a Plumbing Project Manager to support its growing Houston operations. This role is ideal for someone who understands the technical and operational side of plumbing scopes and enjoys taking ownership of projects from precon through closeout.
You'll be working on a mix of commercial and institutional projects, partnering closely with field teams, clients, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth, profitable project delivery.
What You'll Be Doing
- Managing the full lifecycle of plumbing scopes across multiple construction projects
- Coordinating with general contractors, owners, and internal teams to drive project success
- Overseeing budgets, cost tracking, and forecasting to ensure financial performance
- Developing and maintaining project schedules in alignment with field operations
- Supporting procurement of materials, subcontractors, and equipment
- Working closely with Superintendents to ensure efficient field execution
- Resolving project challenges proactively and maintaining strong client relationships
- Assisting with preconstruction, takeoffs, and scope reviews as needed
What We're Looking For
- 5-10+ years of experience in mechanical construction, with a strong focus on plumbing
- Proven experience managing commercial plumbing projects in the Houston or Texas market
- Strong understanding of plumbing systems, codes, and installation practices
- Ability to manage budgets, schedules, and multiple priorities effectively
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Experience working for a mechanical or plumbing subcontractor preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred)
