Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and oversight for surveying operations across the region, ensuring teams are aligned with company goals, standards, and growth initiatives.
  • Mentor and support office-level survey leaders, helping drive technical excellence, professional development, and team performance.
  • Collaborate with regional and corporate leadership to develop and execute strategic growth plans for surveying services.
  • Coordinate survey resources and workload across multiple offices to ensure projects are properly staffed and delivered efficiently.
  • Promote consistency in project execution, deliverables, quality standards, and best practices throughout the region.
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflows, leverage emerging technologies, and implement innovative solutions that enhance survey operations.
  • Support recruiting efforts, workforce planning, and talent development to build and maintain strong technical teams.
  • Partner with leadership on operational planning, staffing strategies, and market expansion initiatives.
  • Serve as a technical resource for business development efforts, client relationships, and pursuit activities throughout the region.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and professional surveying standards.
  • Act as a trusted leader who exemplifies professionalism, integrity, and sound decision-making.

Qualifications

  • Active Professional Surveyor and Mapper (PSM) license required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience within the land surveying industry.
  • Demonstrated success leading survey teams, operations, and multi-office initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of surveying practices, project delivery, technology, and industry trends.
  • Excellent client-facing skills with the ability to build and maintain long-term relationships.
  • Proven project management and organizational abilities, with experience balancing multiple priorities.
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of operational performance, staffing, and growth strategies.
  • Highly effective communicator with the ability to lead teams, mentor staff, and collaborate across all levels of an organization.
  • Self-motivated professional capable of making informed decisions and driving results in a fast-paced environment.
