Power Systems Study Engineer III (Remote - U.S.)

A nationally recognized engineering and consulting firm specializing in mission-critical infrastructure is seeking a Power Systems Study Engineer III to support hyperscale data center and advanced infrastructure projects across the United States.

This role offers the opportunity to work on complex, high-impact projects while collaborating with multidisciplinary design teams and continuing to deepen power systems expertise in a highly technical environment.

The Role
You will independently execute power system studies for mission-critical facilities, taking ownership of technical deliverables while supporting broader project efforts. This is a mid-to-senior level position with strong autonomy, requiring both deep technical capability and the ability to contribute to project management and client-facing deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform power system studies including:
    • Load flow analysis
    • Short circuit analysis
    • Protection coordination
    • Arc flash studies
    • Transient stability analysis
  • Evaluate electrical equipment (transformers, breakers, capacitors) for performance and compliance
  • Produce deliverables such as TCC curves, breaker settings, arc flash labels, and technical reports
  • Collaborate with internal engineering teams across disciplines
  • Support proposals, scope definition, and project execution
  • Contribute to QA/QC reviews and ensure quality, accuracy, and code compliance
  • Interface directly with clients as needed

Tools & Technology
Experience with power system modeling software such as ETAP, SKM, or EasyPower is required.

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (ABET accredited)
  • ~5+ years of experience in electrical engineering, with focus on power systems studies
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems in mission-critical or similar environments
  • Knowledge of protective devices, system coordination, and electrical codes
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment and manage multiple priorities

Compensation
Salary range: $105K - $130K base, depending on experience and location, plus a strong benefits package.
