Pre-sales Solution Architect, Data Center, Singapore
About the Role
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop customised data centre solutions for enterprise, cloud, and hyperscale customers.
- Lead technical solutioning for high-density deployments, including AI and GPU-intensive workloads.
- Develop power and cooling strategies, including multi-megawatt power planning, liquid cooling technologies, chilled water systems, and thermal management solutions.
- Support customer engagements by conducting technical workshops, solution presentations, and design consultations.
- Translate complex engineering concepts into clear and compelling business value propositions for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaborate with commercial teams to prepare proposals, technical documentation, and solution recommendations.
- Conduct technical feasibility studies, due diligence assessments, and site evaluations for new developments and expansion opportunities.
- Work closely with project delivery and operations teams to ensure designs are operationally achievable and aligned with customer requirements.
- Define and document technical requirements, service levels, and solution specifications prior to project handover.
- Provide technical leadership throughout the solution lifecycle, from initial customer engagement through to implementation.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, Data Centre Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in a data centre solutions, engineering, design, or technical presales role.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of mission-critical infrastructure, including:
- UPS systems and power distribution
- Generators and electrical infrastructure
- Chillers and cooling systems
- Data centre mechanical and electrical design
- High-density deployments and capacity planning
- Experience with liquid cooling technologies, direct-to-chip cooling, or AI infrastructure environments is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of colocation, hyperscale, or enterprise data centre environments.
- Experience supporting multi-megawatt facilities and critical infrastructure projects.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical teams and executive-level decision-makers.
- Commercially minded with the ability to balance business objectives, customer requirements, and technical feasibility.
- Experience working across multiple countries or supporting regional projects within APAC is advantageous.
- Self-motivated, collaborative, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.
