Overview:
Our client, a nationally recognized civil engineering consultancy, is seeking a Principal Civil Engineer to lead and grow their San Francisco office. Their office has experienced a significant level of growth over the past few years and is looking to add a key figure that can lead a new department of the office. They are offering a signifiant level of autonomy and leadership, coupled with strong resources to achieve their growth plan.
Known for sustainable and innovative design solutions, the firm has a strong presence across the U.S. and is strategically expanding in the Bay Area. This is a high-impact leadership role for an experienced professional who thrives on managing complex projects and mentoring teams.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Base salary: $170,000-$220,000 (depending on experience)

Key Qualifications:
- California PE license
- 12+ years of civil engineering experience, with a focus on land development and site design
- Proven ability in business development and leading teams
- Strong technical expertise and ability to integrate quickly into diverse projects
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Familiarity with San Francisco and broader Bay Area permitting processes and agency coordination
