Position Overview
Our client is currently seeking an Architect to join their Denver office and focus on K-12 educational design projects. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a skilled individual to take charge of managing design coordination and technical delivery while working closely with both design and project teams throughout the entire project lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have strong design, communication, and organizational skills.
Focus Area: K-12 Education Design
Our client specializes in K-12 education design, creating spaces that foster learning and meet the evolving needs of students and educators. The designs are informed by a deep understanding of educational philosophies, community input, and research-based strategies to create engaging and effective learning environments.
Responsibilities
Understand and contribute to the overall design philosophy and performance strategy for projects, ensuring clear communication with the team.
Assist in the technical design process, overseeing the development and refinement of design details, project coordination, and quality assurance.
Identify creative and innovative solutions to project challenges, backed by thorough research and documentation.
Coordinate with external consultants and internal team members to ensure the successful integration of project components and alignment with design goals.
Participate in the preparation of design documents and the detailed development of construction documents at all project stages.
Ensure that schematic, design development, and construction documents align with project objectives, timelines, and budgets.
Stay up to date on advancements in building technologies and architectural systems.
Review shop drawings, material samples, and construction documentation to ensure they meet design specifications.
Assist with construction administration tasks, such as RFIs, RFPs, change orders, and more.
Maintain communication with clients, consultants, and contractors throughout the project's duration, and assist with client presentations as necessary.
Ideal Candidate
5-10 years of experience in the architecture field.
Licensed architect (required).
Experience with educational projects is a strong advantage.
Proven leadership and experience managing project teams.
Strong design, graphic, and presentation skills.
Experience in client communication and coordination with sub-consultants.
Expertise in Revit and other design software.
Experience preparing construction documents and overseeing construction administration processes.
In-depth knowledge of building codes and regulations.
LEED and/or WELL Building certifications are a plus.

The salary range for this position is $78,000-$108,000. The final compensation will be based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, and location. This is just one component of the broader total compensation package offered by our client.
