Project Architect
A long-standing and successful Architecture + Design firm in Somerville, MA is seeking a new Project Architect to join their team in Somerville, MA! This is an opportunity to impact local and national projects for a firm dedicated to innovative design, long-term client relationships spanning multiple decades, and building communities.
The ideal candidate will lead design development, help to mentor growing staff members, and work toward technical delivery excellence. This position is best suited for those that value true collaboration, team development, and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Lead architectural projects from concept through completion, developing both design and technical strategies
- Partner with multidisciplinary teams and external collaborators to ensure seamless and coordinated project delivery
- Offer technical leadership to ensure alignment between design vision, performance objectives, and project execution
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of construction technologies and demonstrate advanced proficiency in Revit and digital modeling standards
- Supervise construction-phase services, including review of RFIs, processing of change orders, and ensuring regulatory compliance
- Engage clients and stakeholders throughout all phases, supporting design presentations and contributing to business development initiatives
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of working experience in a professional Architecture setting
- Preferred project background: Muliti-family or Specialty Housing, Commercial, Hospitality, Life Sciences, Education, or Community
- Proficiencies in Revit, AutoCAD, and Sketchup
- Bachelor degree in Architecture
- Architectural Registration in Massachusetts preferred but not required
