About the Opportunity

A well-established architectural design firm is seeking an experienced and licensed Project Architect to join its growing team in Jacksonville, Florida. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a senior-level professional to lead challenging projects, collaborate with talented design professionals, and contribute to the long-term success and growth of a respected practice.
The ideal candidate brings strong technical knowledge, project leadership experience, and a passion for delivering high-quality architectural solutions across a variety of project types.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead architectural projects through all phases, from initial planning and design through construction administration and project closeout.
  • Manage project schedules, deliverables, and coordination efforts to ensure successful project execution.
  • Collaborate with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams to achieve project goals.
  • Prepare, review, and oversee construction documents and technical drawings.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, regulations, and quality standards.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to project team members while supporting a collaborative work environment.
  • Assist with problem-solving, technical design decisions, and project coordination throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

  • Licensed Architect required.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 10 years of professional architectural experience.
  • Demonstrated success leading and coordinating complex architectural projects.
  • Experience working on Healthcare, Education, Municipal, Multi-Family, or similar large-scale projects preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Strong knowledge of construction documentation, building systems, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
