Project Designer - EV Charging
About the Role
We are seeking a creative and technically skilled full-time Project Designer - with EV Charging Station experience to join our team. In this role, you will design innovative, efficient, and user-friendly electric vehicle (EV) charging stations that meet industry standards and sustainability goals. You'll collaborate with engineers, architects, and urban planners to create solutions that enhance the EV infrastructure and improve the user experience. Key Responsibilities
- Design EV charging stations, including layout, aesthetics, and functionality.
- Support areas of permitting, utility coordination and project management for EV projects.
- Develop concepts that integrate with urban environments and commercial spaces.
- Ensure compliance with electrical, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Work closely with engineering teams to align design with technical requirements.
- Create detailed drawings, 3D models, and specifications for manufacturing and installation.
- Incorporate sustainable materials and energy-efficient technologies into designs.
- Stay updated on EV industry trends and emerging technologies.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience designing infrastructure projects such as EV charging stations.
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar).
- Strong understanding of electrical systems and charging technologies.
- Experience with sustainable design principles.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of smart charging systems and IoT integration.
- Familiarity with urban planning and infrastructure projects.
