LVI is representing a recognized professional service design firm that provides civil engineering, landscape architecture, land surveying and land planning. This firm works with a diverse range of land development projects across the public, private and federal sectors.
This firm works on a variety of K-12 schools, higher education, large mixed-use campuses, data centres, residential subdivisions, multi-family developments, retail and industrial projects.
This company is looking for a Project Director who has a minimum of 10 years of experience in land development, urban civil engineering design and redevelopment. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead complex development and redevelopment projects while also contributing to the growth and success of the civil engineering department.
Requirements:
- P.E License in DC required.
- B.Sc. in Civil Engineering or related
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in land development.
- Experience in urban civil engineering design and planning, including site design, site plans, stormwater management and utility infrastructure.
- Can lead a team and manage client-facing responsibilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and Civil 3D.
Brief Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the managing partner to implement initiatives to advance the company's growth, efficiency and talent development.
- Responsible for project delivery, including team coordination, client communication, contract negotiation, staff oversight, schedule management, budget and billing.
- Support marketing outreach and pursue business development opportunities, prepare proposals and represent the company.
- Oversee and contribute to design efforts: site design, master planning, zoning, entitlements, stormwater management, sustainability and utility and infrastructure design.
- Navigate multi-phased projects through local and federal agencies' approval processes.
- Incorporate sustainable site design practice.
- Maintain and deepen existing client relationships while securing new opportunities.
- Mentor, coach and support staff in their professional development and create a collaborative, positive and high-performing culture.
- Support financial forecasting, manage monthly invoicing and oversee project financial reporting.
- Assist the managing partner in developing and enhancing office structures and procedures to optimise team performance and operations.
