About the Opportunity
A growing multidisciplinary engineering consultancy is seeking a Civil Engineer to join its expanding civil engineering team.
This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of infrastructure, site development, utility, and transportation projects while collaborating with experienced engineers, project managers, architects, planners, and design professionals.
The successful candidate will be involved throughout the project lifecycle, from planning and design through permitting and construction support, gaining exposure to a variety of public and private sector developments.
Position Overview
The Civil Engineer will support the design and delivery of a broad range of infrastructure and site development projects.
Projects may include:
- Land development projects
- Municipal infrastructure improvements
- Utility and drainage systems
- Roadway and transportation projects
- Commercial developments
- Institutional facilities
- Mixed-use developments
- Site and infrastructure planning

Key Responsibilities
Engineering Design
- Assist with the preparation of engineering designs, plans, specifications, and technical reports.
- Develop site layouts, grading plans, utility designs, drainage systems, and infrastructure improvements.
- Prepare permitting documentation and support regulatory approval processes.
- Perform engineering calculations related to site development and infrastructure systems.
- Utilise engineering design software to prepare accurate project deliverables.
Project Support
- Collaborate with project managers and engineering teams to deliver projects on schedule and within budget.
- Participate in project meetings, site visits, and field investigations.
- Support multidisciplinary coordination efforts throughout project delivery.
- Review design documents for quality, consistency, and compliance with applicable standards.
- Assist with construction administration and field observation activities when required.
Professional Development
- Work closely with senior engineers and technical leaders.
- Continue developing technical expertise across multiple project types.
- Participate in training, mentorship, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
- Support continuous improvement and technical excellence across project teams.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
- Professional Engineer (PE) licence or ability to obtain licensure.
- 5+ years of civil engineering experience.
- Strong understanding of civil engineering design principles and permitting processes.
- Experience with engineering design software.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Preferred
- Experience supporting land development or infrastructure projects.
- Familiarity with roadway, utility, drainage, and stormwater design.
- Experience coordinating with multidisciplinary project teams.
- Construction administration or field observation experience.
