Our client, a well-established and nationally recognized civil engineering consultancy, is seeking a Project Engineer to join their Land Development team in San Diego. This is a high-impact role offering the opportunity to contribute to transformative residential, commercial, and mixed-use development projects across Southern California.
About the Role
As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the design and execution of land development projects from initial planning through construction. You'll work closely with a collaborative team of engineers and planners, contributing to technical design, client coordination, and project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop site layout, grading, drainage, utility, and stormwater management designs.
- Assist in preparing construction documents, cost estimates, and permitting packages.
- Coordinate with clients, municipalities, and subconsultants to ensure project success.
- Perform engineering calculations and ensure compliance with applicable codes and regulations.
- Support project managers and mentor junior staff as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (required).
- 2-5 years of experience in land development design.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- EIT certification preferred; PE track encouraged.
