Role Overview:
We're looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Project Engineer to join our civil engineering team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong technical foundation who is ready to take ownership of project delivery, client coordination, and design development. You'll work alongside experienced engineers and project managers on a variety of projects ranging from residential and commercial developments to transport and utility infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support the design and delivery of civil engineering projects from concept through to construction
- Prepare and review technical drawings, specifications, and reports
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies to ensure smooth project execution
- Conduct site visits and inspections as needed
- Ensure designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and environmental regulations
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team development
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
- 5+ years of experience in civil engineering design and project delivery
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroDrainage, or similar
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
- Knowledge of UK design standards and planning processes is a plus
