Job Title: Project Engineering Manager - Water & Wastewater

We're looking for a Project Engineering Manager to oversee the delivery of complex water and wastewater infrastructure projects. These span a variety of delivery models-including traditional, design-build, design-bid-build, and collaborative approaches-and involve advanced treatment systems, underground conveyance, etc.
This is a leadership role offering the chance to shape the future of municipal infrastructure while mentoring a talented team of engineers and technicians.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership & Delivery
- Lead multi-disciplinary engineering teams on complex municipal water and wastewater projects.
- Oversee the preparation of engineering deliverables, technical calculations, and design documentation.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and quality standards across multiple concurrent projects.
- Serve as the technical lead and responsible charge for project execution.
Client & Stakeholder Engagement
- Identify and address client needs, concerns, and project drivers.
- Communicate effectively with clients and internal teams to ensure alignment and satisfaction.
- Support business development efforts and manage project changes in collaboration with project managers.
Technical Oversight & Innovation
- Provide strategic and technical leadership on advanced treatment and conveyance solutions.
- Conduct research and recommend equipment, materials, and design approaches.
- Drive innovative, sustainable, and cost-effective engineering solutions.
Team Management & Mentorship
- Supervise, mentor, and develop engineering staff, fostering a culture of growth and excellence.
- Participate in hiring, performance reviews, and professional development planning.
- Review and approve work from junior engineers and technicians.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in water and wastewater infrastructure.
- PE Licensed (PE)
- Prior experience in engineering consultancy, particularly in delivering multi-disciplinary wastewater treatment plant upgrades and expansions.
- Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills.
