Project Manager- Atlanta

Job Summary:

The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing civil engineering projects from concept to completion. This includes managing client relationships, coordinating technical teams, navigating regulatory requirements, and ensuring project delivery meets quality, budget, and schedule expectations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage site development and infrastructure projects across metro Atlanta and the Southeast.

  • Lead the design and coordination of grading, drainage, utility, roadway, and stormwater systems.

  • Prepare and manage scopes of work, proposals, budgets, and schedules.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, contractors, and local agencies.

  • Oversee permitting processes with City of Atlanta, GDOT, and other regional agencies.

  • Mentor and supervise junior engineers and CAD staff.

  • Conduct QA/QC reviews of plans, reports, and deliverables.

  • Support business development through networking, proposals, and relationship management.

  • Monitor project performance, budgets, and deliverables to ensure timely execution.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline (Master's preferred).

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Georgia required.

  • 7+ years of progressive civil engineering experience, with at least 3 years in a project management role.

  • Proven expertise in land development, stormwater design, roadway layout, and utility coordination.

  • Strong familiarity with City of Atlanta, GDOT, and Georgia EPD requirements.

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong leadership, client management, and problem-solving abilities.


Preferred Experience:

  • Background in urban infill, commercial, or mixed-use developments in metro Atlanta.

  • Familiarity with LEED, green infrastructure, or sustainability principles.

  • Experience managing multidisciplinary project teams.
