Project Manager - Community Practice

A multidisciplinary design firm is seeking a Project Manager with a positive, collaborative work style to join its Community Practice studio. This team is dedicated to delivering innovative design solutions that address current challenges while anticipating future needs.   • Experience in community-focused projects, with an emphasis on Higher Education and/or K-12 facilities
  • Resourceful, creative problem-solving skills
  • Strong team orientation, with the ability to both lead and take direction
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with a positive and respectful approach
  • Clear and effective communication skills (verbal, visual, and written)
  • Highly organized with the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and moving parts
  • Solid understanding of design principles, space planning, materials, and spatial relationships
  • Interest in and commitment to sustainable design practices
  • Strong professional drive combined with a positive, team-oriented attitude

What You'll Do

  • Collaborate within a dedicated team focused on community-oriented projects
  • Take on a high level of ownership and responsibility across projects
  • Manage a variety of project types and design efforts
  • Lead multidisciplinary teams to meet project goals, budgets, and schedules
  • Oversee the production of construction documents and construction administration
  • Ensure overall project success and client satisfaction
  • Contribute to and benefit from ongoing professional growth opportunities

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Architecture from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of 8 years of professional experience, especially in community-related sectors (K-12, Higher Education, Civic, or Justice projects)
  • Demonstrated experience managing K-12 project work
  • Architectural licensure/registration required
  • Proficiency in Revit (intermediate level or higher)
