Position Overview
As an Architectural Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing all phases of architectural projects, with a primary focus on Higher Education facilities. You will serve as the main point of contact for clients, consultants, and internal teams, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage architectural projects independently from schematic design through construction administration.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams to ensure project goals are met.
- Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and work plans.
- Oversee the preparation of design and construction documents.
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and university standards.
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
- Represent the firm in client meetings and presentations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
- 7+ years of professional experience, with at least 3 years managing Higher Education projects.
- Architectural licensure preferred (or on track for licensure).
- Proven ability to manage projects independently.
- Strong knowledge of building codes, ADA, and sustainability practices.
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and other design software.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Higher Education institutions.
- LEED accreditation or knowledge of sustainable design practices.
- Familiarity with project delivery methods such as Design-Bid-Build and CM at Risk.
