About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead large-scale solar and BESS projects in Illinois. This position offers an opportunity to manage complex renewable energy projects from pre-construction through commissioning, ensuring quality, safety, and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage utility-scale solar and BESS projects from planning through completion.
- Oversee daily operations, assign tasks, and ensure project milestones are met.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
- Monitor costs, manage change orders, and mitigate risks proactively.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams for optimal execution.
- Conduct regular project meetings and provide status updates on progress and risks.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate documentation and reporting for all phases of the project.
Qualifications
- 5-10+ years of experience in electrical construction, preferably in utility-scale solar or renewable energy projects.
- Proven ability to manage large-scale solar projects from start to finish.
- Strong knowledge of solar PV systems, BESS integration, and construction processes.
- Leadership experience managing project teams and subcontractors.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Ability to interpret electrical and civil drawings and specifications.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (preferred, but experience may substitute).
