A well‑established commercial general contractor with a strong regional presence in the Mountain West is seeking a Senior‑Level Project Manager to join its Sheridan team. This builder has decades of experience delivering high‑quality commercial work and operates multiple offices across the region, supporting projects ranging from institutional and hospitality to medical, financial, office, and mixed‑use developments. The Sheridan office is part of a broader network of locations across Montana and Wyoming, serving clients throughout the Western U.S. in general contracting, construction management, preconstruction, and design‑build services.
Role Overview
This position is ideal for a seasoned Project Manager who can independently lead large commercial projects-from preconstruction through closeout-while collaborating with owners, architects, engineers, and field teams. Projects typically range from $5M to $50M across commercial sectors such as office, retail, hospitality, education, healthcare, and mixed‑use environments.
What You'll Do
* Manage all phases of commercial construction projects, ensuring schedule, budget, and quality targets are met
* Oversee preconstruction tasks including budgeting, value engineering, and early design coordination
* Lead subcontractor procurement, scope reviews, contract management, and schedule development
* Partner closely with field superintendents to drive on‑site execution and maintain project momentum
* Maintain strong client communication and uphold high standards of professionalism
* Use project management software to track documentation, financials, RFIs, submittals, and reporting
Qualifications
* 5-10+ years of commercial project management experience; senior‑level capability preferred
* Experience managing $5M-$50M commercial projects
* Strong proficiency with Procore; familiarity with Sage is highly preferred
* Background in preconstruction (budgeting, estimating support, and early project planning)
* Strong communication, financial acumen, leadership, and problem‑solving skills
* Ability to work full‑time on site in the Sheridan, WY area
