Project Manager - Site Civil - Minneapolis

An established professional engineering firm is seeking a Site Design Project Engineer to join our team in our Minneapolis, MN office. We are a dynamic group of professionals committed to delivering high-quality services to clients across the renewable energy sector. The ideal candidate will contribute to projects in wind, solar, and emerging markets, and will bring enthusiasm, technical expertise, and a strong focus on client service.

If you are a licensed engineer with approximately six years of design experience and are ready to take the next step in your career, whether as a project manager or a technical lead, this could be the opportunity for you.


Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare design documents for civil systems related to utility-scale renewable energy projects.
  • Review plans and specifications for constructibility and risk mitigation.
  • Coordinate technical activities across disciplines within the local office.
  • Act as a liaison between engineers and the design team.
  • Support the Project Manager or Lead Engineer in conceptual, preliminary, and final design phases.
  • Participate in client meetings and calls to coordinate design activities.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by Project Managers.

Required Skills

  • Strong understanding of civil design for renewable energy projects.
  • Ability to assess constructibility and manage design risks.
  • Effective cross-disciplinary coordination and communication.
  • Experience supporting project design phases and client interactions.

Preferred Experience

  • Background in renewable energy or a strong interest in the industry.
  • Experience managing land development or public infrastructure projects.
