Project Manager- Underground Utilities
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead underground utility construction projects across residential developments and municipal infrastructure programs in the Dallas area. This role is responsible for managing the full project lifecycle, from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget while maintaining strong client and stakeholder relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage multiple underground utility projects including water, sewer, storm drain, and dry utility scopes
- Oversee project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and forecasting
- Coordinate with field teams, superintendents, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure efficient execution
- Review plans, specifications, and contracts to ensure compliance and identify risks
- Track project costs, monitor financial performance, and manage change orders
- Maintain project documentation including RFIs, submittals, and progress reports
- Communicate effectively with clients, engineers, municipalities, and internal leadership
- Ensure all work complies with local, state, and federal regulations
- Lead project meetings and provide updates on schedules, milestones, and issues
- Drive a strong safety culture across all project activities
Qualifications
- 5+ years of project management experience in underground utility construction
- Proven experience with residential development and/or municipal utility projects
- Strong understanding of water, wastewater, stormwater, and dry utility installation practices
- Proficient in project management and scheduling software (e.g., Procore, Primavera, or similar)
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Strong financial acumen and experience managing project budgets and forecasts
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of local municipal requirements and permitting processes in Texas preferred
