Project Manager - Water & Wastewater

A nationally recognized infrastructure consulting firm is seeking a Project Engineering Manager to lead the delivery of complex water and wastewater projects. This role offers the opportunity to manage multidisciplinary teams and oversee the engineering execution of high-profile municipal infrastructure initiatives, including advanced treatment systems, conveyance networks, and sustainable water solutions.

What You'll Do

    • Lead engineering execution for a portfolio of projects, including traditional design-bid-build, design-build, and collaborative delivery models
    • Manage and mentor a team of engineers and technical staff across multiple disciplines
    • Oversee project budgets, schedules, and quality standards, ensuring alignment with client expectations
    • Coordinate with project managers and clients to ensure successful project delivery
    • Guide the development of engineering deliverables such as technical reports, design documents, and cost estimates
    • Serve as the technical lead on complex water and wastewater treatment projects
    • Support business development efforts, including proposal preparation and client presentations
    • Identify client needs and provide innovative, cost-effective solutions
    • Participate in hiring, performance management, and professional development of engineering staff

What We're Looking For

    • Bachelor's degree in engineering (civil, environmental, mechanical, or related field); advanced degree preferred
    • Professional Engineer (PE) license required
    • 9+ years of experience in water/wastewater infrastructure, including treatment plant upgrades, conveyance systems, and sustainable design
    • Proven ability to lead large, multidisciplinary teams and manage complex project scopes
    • Strong communication and leadership skills, with a client-focused mindset
    • Experience with collaborative delivery methods and regulatory permitting processes
    • Familiarity with engineering software tools and project management systems
