Project Manager - Water/Wastewater

Project Manager - Wastewater, Pump Stations & Conveyance | Atlanta, GA (Hybrid)

My client, a 100% employee-owned, top-ranked ENR firm (recognized among the best for several consecutive years), is expanding their Atlanta wastewater practice and they're looking for a Senior Project Manager to lead high-impact wastewater, pump station, and conveyance projects across Georgia and the greater Southeast.

This is a genuine leadership opportunity with a firm where every employee is an owner, meaning your work directly contributes to the value you share in. Add in a diverse project pipeline, a hybrid schedule, and a culture built on technical excellence, and this one stands out in the Atlanta market.

What you'll be doing

  • Leading the planning, design, and delivery of wastewater treatment, pump station, and large-diameter conveyance projects for municipal clients across Georgia and the Southeast.
  • Serving as the primary client contact, managing scope, schedule, budget, and quality from concept through construction.
  • Overseeing multidisciplinary project teams, including junior engineers, designers, and subconsultants.
  • Leading pump station design efforts, including hydraulic modeling, pump selection, force main design, and SCADA integration.
  • Coordinating permitting, alternatives analyses, and regulatory approvals with GA EPD and local municipalities.
  • Providing construction phase services, submittals, RFIs, site visits, and commissioning support.
  • Driving business development: building client relationships, leading proposals, and identifying new pursuits across the region.
  • Mentoring junior PMs and engineers to help grow the next generation of leaders.

What you'll bring

  • BS in Civil, Environmental, or related Engineering discipline (MS a plus).
  • Minimum 8 years of consulting experience focused on wastewater, pump stations, and/or conveyance.
  • Active PE license
  • Proven track record of managing municipal wastewater projects from concept to close-out.
  • Strong knowledge of hydraulic modeling, collection system design, and pump station engineering.
  • Established relationships with municipal clients across Georgia are a strong plus.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and business development skills.

Why this role

  • 100% employee-owned, you're not just an employee, you're an owner with real equity in the firm's success.
  • Top-ranked ENR firm for several consecutive years - nationally recognized reputation and project pipeline.
  • Hybrid schedule with genuine flexibility to balance work and life.
  • Competitive base salary + performance bonus + ESOP contributions + strong benefits package.
  • Clear path to Principal / Practice Lead for the right person.
  • Diverse municipal pipeline across Georgia and the Southeast - no risk of getting boxed into one client.
  • Low-ego, collaborative culture with long tenure across leadership.

If you're a wastewater PM in the Atlanta market looking for real ownership, both in your projects and in the firm itself - I'd love to connect.
