Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Project Manager to lead the construction of wastewater treatment plant (WTP) projects in the Dayton, Ohio area. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing large-scale water infrastructure projects, with a focus on wastewater treatment facilities. This role requires a deep understanding of construction processes, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all phases of WTP construction projects from pre-construction through closeout.
- Coordinate with engineers, contractors, subcontractors, and local authorities to ensure project milestones are met.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, safety standards, and quality control procedures.
- Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor progress and resolve issues.
- Prepare and present project reports to stakeholders and senior management.
- Manage procurement of materials and equipment in coordination with purchasing teams.
- Oversee contract administration, change orders, and risk management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in construction project management, with at least 3 years in WTP or water infrastructure projects.
- Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental and construction regulations.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6).
- PMP certification or equivalent is a plus.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Experience:
- Familiarity with Ohio EPA regulations and permitting processes.
- Experience working with municipal clients and public sector contracts.
- Knowledge of SCADA systems, mechanical/electrical systems in WTPs, and process engineering.
