Job Description: The firm is looking for a Restoration Design Engineer to oversee and apply expertise a range of projects, including habitat restoration, fish passage, fluid mechanics, stormwater management, channel design and the design of river, floodplain, wetland, and watershed-related projects.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and deliver projects involving the creation of reports, evaluation of project alternatives, and design of water-related projects.
- Effectively communicate with clients
- Oversee project tasks, ensuring timely and budget-compliant completion.
- Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
- Prepare and present technical reports and project updates.
- Draft stream and wetland restoration construction documents
- QA/QC H&H models in HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS and other software
Required Skills/Attributes:
- Registered PE
- Bachelor of Science Degree from an accredited engineering program (Master's preferred)
- Experience in consulting, managing projects involving report production, evaluation of project alternatives, and design of water-related projects.
- Ability to manage projects and tasks and coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams.
- 8+ years of experience in public works or engineering consulting.
- Collaborative and respectful communication style, with a desire to work with diverse teams.
