The Role

As a Restoration and Forensics Project Manager, you will lead the delivery of restoration, rehabilitation, renovation and forensic engineering projects while managing both the technical and commercial aspects of multiple assignments. You will take ownership of project execution, client relationships and quality assurance processes, whilst supporting business development initiatives and helping grow the diagnostics team. The position offers a blend of technical leadership, project management and client-facing responsibilities, making it an ideal opportunity for an experienced engineer looking to advance their career within a specialist structural diagnostics and forensic engineering environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the delivery of multiple restoration, rehabilitation, renovation and forensic engineering projects.
  • Lead technical investigations relating to structural failures, building deterioration and performance issues.
  • Conduct assessments associated with water intrusion, building envelope defects and structural diagnostics.
  • Oversee project schedules, budgets, scope and contractual requirements.
  • Coordinate with clients, contractors, consultants and other stakeholders throughout project delivery.
  • Prepare and review technical reports, engineering recommendations and repair strategies.
  • Ensure quality assurance and quality control standards are maintained across all projects.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and project staff.
  • Support business development activities by identifying opportunities and helping secure new projects.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships to support repeat business and long-term growth.
  • Contribute to the strategic growth and success of the diagnostics and forensic engineering practice.
  • Travel as required to support project and client needs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Master's degree with a structural engineering focus preferred.
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) licence required.
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in structural diagnostics, restoration, rehabilitation, renovation or forensic engineering.
  • Proven project management experience overseeing multiple concurrent projects.
  • Experience investigating structural issues, building failures, water infiltration and building envelope performance.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop client relationships and win new business opportunities.
  • Strong technical, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet project deadlines.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino, Grasshopper or related design software preferred.
  • Strong leadership, collaboration and client service skills.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working effectively within a team-oriented environment.
