Roadway Project Manager
We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Senior Transportation Manager to lead roadway and infrastructure projects across the Intermountain West. This leadership role is ideal for a transportation professional with deep expertise in highway design, project delivery, and team management. You'll oversee complex transportation initiatives and collaborate with public agencies, consultants, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver impactful solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage transportation projects including highways, arterials, and municipal roadway improvements.
- Oversee project planning, design, budgeting, scheduling, and delivery.
- Serve as a primary client liaison and represent the firm in public and stakeholder meetings.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local transportation standards (e.g., AASHTO, FHWA, UDOT, ITD).
- Mentor and manage engineering staff, fostering technical excellence and professional growth.
- Support business development efforts including proposal writing and client engagement.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field (Master's preferred).
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in transportation engineering and project management.
- Active PE license in Idaho or Utah (or ability to obtain within 6 months).
- Proven leadership in delivering large-scale roadway/highway projects.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in project management tools and design software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation).
Preferred Experience:
- Familiarity with UDOT and ITD project delivery processes.
- Experience with federally funded transportation projects.
- Background in team leadership and cross-functional collaboration.
