Senior Bridge Engineer - Fort Worth, TX
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Bridge Engineer to lead and manage bridge design and rehabilitation projects across the DFW region. The ideal candidate will bring technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and a collaborative mindset to support infrastructure development for public and private sector clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and analysis of bridge structures including highway, railway, pedestrian, and transit bridges.
- Prepare and review engineering plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Conduct structural assessments, load ratings, and inspections of existing bridges.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including geotechnical, hydraulic, environmental, and roadway engineers.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance throughout project lifecycles.
- Ensure compliance with TxDOT, AASHTO, and other relevant standards and codes.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and client communications.
- Support proposal development and business growth initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas (or ability to obtain within 6 months).
- Minimum 8 years of experience in bridge engineering and project management.
- Proficiency in bridge design software such as OpenBridge, LEAP Bridge, CSI Bridge, or AASHTOWare BrR.
- Strong understanding of structural analysis, materials, and construction methods.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with TxDOT projects and standards.
- Familiarity with BIM and CAD tools (MicroStation, AutoCAD Civil 3D).
- Knowledge of environmental permitting and construction inspection processes.
