As the business continues to scale across APAC and globally, they are looking to hire a Carbon Consultant to work closely with clients on carbon accounting, product carbon footprinting, lifecycle assessments, and decarbonization initiatives.
The Role
This is a client-facing position that sits at the intersection of sustainability, carbon data, and technology. You will help organizations understand their environmental impact, improve carbon data quality, and develop actionable strategies to reduce emissions across their operations and supply chains.
Working closely with commercial, product, and technical teams, you will play a key role in delivering sustainability projects while helping clients maximize the value of a carbon management platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver organizational and product carbon footprint assessments.
- Conduct Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) and Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) studies.
- Support Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions calculations and reporting.
- Gather, validate, and manage large volumes of emissions and sustainability data.
- Translate complex carbon data into clear insights and recommendations for clients.
- Support clients in developing decarbonization strategies and net-zero roadmaps.
- Collaborate with internal product and engineering teams to improve methodologies and user experience.
- Stay current on carbon accounting standards, emission factors, and sustainability reporting frameworks.
- Support ESG reporting, supplier engagement, and environmental data collection initiatives.
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients throughout their sustainability journey.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience within carbon accounting, sustainability consulting, environmental consulting, or climate technology.
- Strong experience conducting LCA and/or Product Carbon Footprint assessments.
- Experience managing and analyzing sustainability or carbon emissions data.
- Understanding of Scope 1, 2, and 3 greenhouse gas accounting methodologies.
- Familiarity with GHG Protocol and leading sustainability reporting frameworks.
- Exposure to product management, sustainability software, carbon platforms, or digital climate solutions is highly advantageous.
- Strong stakeholder management and client-facing communication skills.
- Ability to translate technical sustainability concepts into practical business recommendations.
- Bachelor's degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Engineering, Climate Change, or a related discipline.
Preferred Experience
- Experience supporting manufacturing, consumer goods, food & beverage, retail, technology, or supply chain clients.
- Knowledge of decarbonization planning and emissions reduction strategies.
- Experience working in a fast-paced startup or scale-up environment.
- Understanding of ESG reporting, supplier emissions data, and carbon disclosure requirements.
